Re: mp3 to dvd

I have tried this software (Audio DVD Creator). I wanted to convert mp3
radio shows to DVD. These radio shows are anywhere from about 12 minutes up
to 2 hours long. The problem I ran into is that Audio DVD Creator will not
accept mono mp3s, or the low-bit rate recordings of the radio shows. I have
to first spend several hours converting the MP3s from mono to stereo 128 bps
before the program will even accept them. Then the program takes an very
long time to finally convert and burn the files to DVD. Works fine, except
that it does take a very long time just to burn one disk.

I also tried Apollo Audio Disk Creator. It accepts the mono low bit rate
mp3s just fine, is much faster than the Audio Disk Creator, but my portable
Coby DVD player not will accept the DVDs, even if recorded in ac3 format. It
just displays a "Wrong Disk" message. Works fine with the computer and my
Sylvania DVD player that I have hooked up to my TV, but my purpose in
wanting to make Audio DVDs is for use for the portable Coby player, so
because of this, this program is practically worthless for me.

I also purchased Roxio Easy Media Creator 7. So far I have gotten it to burn
one good disk, which works fine on all my DVD players. This one disk (about
22 hours of radio shows), if I remember correctly, took almost 2 hours to
convert and burn. However, otherwise, the program continually gets a "needs
to shut down" error message, and after shutting down, the disk is ruined.
The problem is, I don't know what I did that allowed it to burn one disk
without shutting down. Unlike the other programs, it starts writing to the
disk as soon as you hit the "Burn" button, and it is after this that it hits
some problem as yet unknown to me, and needs to shut down, but since it has
already started writing to the disk, the disk is ruined. I have wasted more
than 12 DVDs this way, plus many hours of frustration and reading comments
and trying suggestions offered in various forums. I have tried many
different approaches, but I still don't know why I keep getting these error
messages. I have decided that the program just does not like something that
is unique in my Averatec laptop. I will try the program on another computer
when I get time and am able to access my friend's computer.

So my question is: Does anyone know of a really good program that works
something like Apollo Audio DVD Creator that accepts mono low bitrate mp3s,
and that actually can be played all DVD players?
