For the very best possible system build it arounf the new woodcrest
based Daul core Xeon processors. Put in 2 GB or RAM. I'd go with a
sata boot drive and then a sata raid for the vieo. for a graphics card
check out the Quadro FX1500 or the Ati Radeon 1900. Unfortunately I'm
not sure if you can put one of these babies together for under $3,000
today. teh chips and mobos are brand new and carry a premium.

I'm going to be building a new system for myself using the new Conroe
Dual-Core chip. It's going to come in around $2,500. It will be the
basis of a new DIY5 article we hope to have published in Sept.

We compared AMD vs Intel dual-cores. The AMD machine outperformed the
Intel. With Conroe we fully expect Intel to regain their top ranking.

real-time editing that is not yet possible with just Premiere Pro
