Hello Deanna
Play the song in any editing software (give a try to FlexiMusic wave editor)
select the part which you need to remove, now using the delete command
remove the selected part of the song. If you want to delete all the silence
part, select the whole song and apply Delete Silence command which will
remove the silence in the song. Hope, with this you get your work completed.
