At the URL http://jemdvdheaven.homestead.com , a guy whose e-mail
address is pinkcarebear@catt.com, is offering you Jem Season Three,
Part Two, for the (rather reasonable, if you will actually get the
merchandise in good condition, if I do say so myself) price of $29.99,
including shipping, if you're from the US (and perhaps even Canada).
Those well versed in Jem merchandise know that Seasons 1 & 2 were
released on DVD in their entirety, along with part of Season 3, all by
a company named Rhino. Unfortunately, although a DVD set containing
the remainder of the third (and final) season was apparently produced
by Rhino, the rights to sell it were acquired by Sony before these
final episodes ever made it to the shelves of video stores and your
local Best Buy, not to mention the search results of Ebay. Speaking of
Ebay, I've seen J S.IIIPart2 for sale there as well, so I'm assuming
it's people who have bought it from this guy are looking to profit, as
even the "Buy It Now" prices on these (which they often have, I've
noticed) are way higher than the $29.99 price. But of course, the
listings aren't seen as frequently as those releases that Rhino has
already mass marketed.
For those who don't have or are reluctant to use PayPal, the
sitemaster, whose first name is Ryan (the site lists his last name as
well, but for privacy reasons, especially given the fact that he
apparently gives a street address), gives a Georgia mailing address to
send payment to. To those Jem fans on this list that have not only
heard of this site, but have attempted to purchase Season Three Part
Two from Ryan, might you be able to vouch for him, before I send some
money somewhere that has no feedback feature that would let me get
warnings from other buyers? And even if you yourself haven't tried
this, it would really help if you knew of anyone else who bought from
Ryan and can provide references for him, either of good or not-so-good
buying experiences...
