I recall auditioning one of these devices a while back. Like most of
these one box solutions they can sound good if set-up correctly, but
ultimately, if you've been used to a 5.1 system, you'll be disappointed.
The Yamaha solution is certainly clever and in the right room setting
can sound quite convincing, but that's it: 'quite'. The box needs a sub.
to work properly, so that's the one-box solution out of the window
straight away.
It's certainly better than nothing at all, but if you have/can
accommodate a real 5.1/6.1 solution, go with that.
