I have a bulk tape eraser I got from Radio Shack and it doesn't do a
very good job of erasing even VHS or SVHS tapes.
I worked for a TV station some years ago who had a huge bulk eraser
that would even handle 1" tape (remember that stuff) and erased my
SVHS tapes completely. Trouble is I think they paid about $600+ for
the thing.
