Good idea.
Unfortunately, the head table was about 10 feet in front of the window with
everyone facing away from the window. So, everytime I shoot the bride/groom
at their table it was backlighted. Next time I'll use a video light to
reduce the contrast.
Fortunately, I don't have to shoot them sitting at their table too much. So
all the other shots in theory can be shot front-lighted. I just have to make
sure the cake is setup at the right location.
Since there seems to be no way to white balance the light everywhere, I'll
just concentrate on white balancing the main subject in the scene.
As for putting gel on the windows, that's a perfect solution but too
impractical for a part time videographer.
