I have a consumer leval camcorder - Canon ZR-85. It used miniDV. I
was thinking about getting a miniDV VCR to have near my computer so I
can Firewire in some footage without using the cam. But they're really
really expensive; so I'll just put that litel idea on hold.
When I was looking there were decks that has DVCAM miniDV. What is the
difference?

it much better quality than consumer level miniDV. DUh - that makes
sense.
Can one play a miniDV tape in a DVCAM marked deck? What about vice
versa?
