So, it's been about four months since I've recorded audio with my
pd150, and I'm afraid I've lost my marbles in the meantime. Last night
I connected the shotgun mic to the CH1 XLR, turned on audio levels
(verified the mic was picking up audio) and started shooting. When
playing back on my deck I had no audio.
What gives? Anyone experience this before? I checked with a tape filmed
from a second camera last night and the tape has audio, so it's not the
deck. I then hooked up headphones to the pd150 and got nothing. Nada.
Why would the audio levels show a signal, but not record it to tape.
I've gone through all the configurations with the audio settings. The
sony manual is pretty useless for troubleshooting this stuff. How do I
check for the type of equipment (or operator) malfunction.
