Dump the stick on labels ASAP. As others have written, you can buy a
NEW Epson R200 for around $100.00 which will print directly onto the
disc.
When I first started providing DVD's to my customers I used stick on
labels and had a lot of problems with them. There was a discussion on
this group quite awhile back and the stick on's don't seem to be as
much of a problem on music CD's as they are on DVD's.
I first used nothing but Maxell blank media with very few failures.
My tape choice has always been Fuji so I tried a spindle of Fuji DVD's
and had a huge amount of failures with them.
I now use only Taiyo Yuden and burn them at 4x and my failure rate is
barely 1%. I print a few on an Epson R300 and my main printer is a
Signature Pro. The Epson is much slower but print quality is fine.
The Signature is way faster and a bit better print quality even with
settings at a medium quality level.
Just my 2 cents on the subject. YMMV
