I've not thought this through totally myself, so I may be talking
rubbish, but here's a thought:
If you shot the audio on the PD150 at 32K sampling, then it should have
gone to Channels 1 and 2 as normal. If you then play that on another
player (you mention 'my deck') and that player is possibly switched to
Channels 3 and 4, then you'll be playing back silent tracks. If the
test tape you played (which DID work OK) had 48K audio (or 32K audio on
Chs 3&4), then you would hear it.
Could that the be answer?
