I bought a JVC DR-MX1. It has a DVD player/burner, A HD and also
VCR. In order to perform timed recordings I'm supposed to
use the "cable contoller" which plugs into the JVC and sends
a signal (Infrared?) to the cable box telling it which channel
to set. It doesn't work and I'm wondering why it was so easy
with my old VCR. The VCR did an Auto Tune search for all the cable
channels and then when you set it to record, it simply went to
that channel and recorded. This JVC has an auto tune function
but I can't tell what its purpose is. I'm using RF connections.
Anybody know what I'm talking about?
