I was thinking that progressive scan composite connection was as good
as the HDMI, no? In that case I might move on a new player with HDMI.
When are they gonna make the Kiss DP-600 Multi Region. That's the
puppy I want for the Hi Def DiVX playback via wireless newtork and HDMI
but if I can only play R0 & R2 what is the point?
I know they are not supposed to legally but surely manufacturers
realise the extra sales generated by leaking a region hack for their
machines.
<sigh> Maybe I will get one anyway and keep my other networked player
for R1 DVDs and hope they find the hack for the Kiss. I know there is
a way someone got it to work that involved invalidating the warranty by
opening it to remove the drive and attaching it to the PC to flash it
but it seemed involoved and there was scope for fucking up the drive
and player
