Hi
Please excuse a newbie on this group if this has been mentioned before,
or is inappropriate.
I have a Dreambox 7000S satellite receiver with harddisk. I have used
DVRStudio Pro to write a DVD from some stream files stored on the
receiver.
The DVD views fine on a 'real' DVD player and TV.
On PC playback (on two different PCs), I see the top scan line flicker
from the left to about 2/3 across the scan line. I see this with both
WinDVD 4 and Windows Media Player (on XP Ro and XP Home).
DVR Studio Pro's support suggested this was the wide screen signalling
signal.
I find that there is an option in WinDVD 'enable hardware accleration'
- when I uncheck this, the problem goes away. I have for found a
similar option for Windows Media Player, and turning of the graphics
acceleration step by step does not help - eventually nothing is
displayed, but the problem is always there.
Does anyone of any PC DVD player software which does not suffer from
this, or is there anything to blank the top line (I would only lose
about 1/3 of it)
Thanks
