By the way, you address me as if I were the only one doubting your
advice, as I recall there were a number of others. A substantial
number, in fact. I may be wrong but I don't think I posted very much
on the threads(s) to which you are referring.

As another has suggested, a Google search will quickly show that there
is no orthodoxy on the tape question. There are several different
versions of "the truth." .I would suggest the path I noted in an
earlier post: get as much input as possible and then go for the one
that makes sense to you.

I have a PD150 and I now run Sony tape in it. The main cause for me
doing this is the recommendation of my repair shop. (Which is
broadcast equipment level and independent.)
