With so few actual manufacturers, it's likely your RCA is made by some
generic China factory.

This is the video reset procedure for a cheap Cyberhome I have. Maybe it
might have worked on yours, or some other brands:
Open disc tray and remove disc.
Close disc tray.
Press the stop key (on the player) for 5 seconds.
