Been lurking here since the early days. Probably late 97 after I got my
Creative DVD Rom drive that needed a card to run it too!! 250 that cost me.
Then is was the Sammy 807 with three free films. Brassed Off (which I still
have in my collection) and the other two escape me. I do remember the
players were only available from Woolworths, MVC and anybody else owned by
the woolworths group. And the price was 249.99. I know as the box for it is
still in the loft and it's still got the price on it! (player went years ago
though! I miss QuasiPal!!)
Used to love the discount codes for ....... um ...... oh fuck who were they.
American company. R1 disks delivered fot little over 10 which was bloody
good in those days.
I too now have a "git" as you politely put it. But thank fuck he can sleep
through anything :)
