If you can stretch to 200 a 160 gig PVR like the Humax 9200T would suit
her, not only does it have freeview with twin tuners to record one channel
and watch another it will save her rummaging around for a blank tape that
doesn't have the tab broken off and wind it on to the end of east enders.
Seriously piss easy to use and setting progs to record is as simple as
reading the Radio times and circling stuff, just select and press OK twice.
Not only can you just hit record at any stage, it will automatically record
til the end of the current program you are on unless you repeat hit record
and tell it how long to record. if you are watching a show and wish you
had recorded it from the start you can just rewind the live TV till the
start of the show then hit record and it will tape the show from the point
you rewound to, then you can just return to the point you were at. My GF
has one and she loves it and uses it as easily as a VCR. Only thing is you
can't lend people tapes you recorded...ANOTHER BONUS!!
