OK, I think I'll call time on this one :) I'm getting HER a cheap Woolies VCR, end
of story. She can use it upstairs with her freeview box.
I wish I'd never started this thread now.
My missus is highly intelligent, degree level and working in local gov't / voluntary
sector, but cannot program a bloody egg timer...
