no they're not!
laserdiscs were never anamorphic - so all you have is a non anamorphic
version which someone has resized to make it anamorphic, but with the level
of detail of the non anamorphic one.
plus it will be from a composite source - unlike this new dvd which will
store the picture in component form.
all in all, this non anamorphic one will look better.
