Presumably, the visible scan-line problem which people used to moan about
with non-anamorphic DVDs is only an issue with CRT TVs, and not on LCDs,
plasma or projectors? Is this correct?

If so, then apart from on CRT TVs, the non-anamorphic release should look no
worse than the anamorphic bootlegs for the reason given by Gareth - namely
that the bootlegs are based on a non-anamorphic (laserdisc) source.
