Why is it odd?
Last numbers I saw (Apple public presentation at the last NAB) indicated
more than half a million registered FCP systems deployed.
Considering that video editing is an overall pretty small niche market -
I'd say that's a pretty clear sign of how successful it's become.
In that context, the ads are just "business as usual."
