Perhaps. But perhaps not.
Mine arrived earlier this week (see my earlier thread "Han Shot First").
To be honest right now I'm just happy to have the original movies. If an
anamorphic transfer gets released next year... I'm sure my younger
brother will appreciate the 2006 versions as an early birthday present
(he doesn't have a widescreen telly so won't care if it's non-anamorphic).
It's actually been several years since I saw the originals - and until
this week I'd never seen them in widescreen (my non-SE VHS set is 4:3PS,
SE VHS is letterbox).
Just wondering whether to eBay the 2004 set... but then it does have
disc 4 with the B-roll footage of David Prowse's undubbed dialogue. Cue
broad Bristolian accent "Commaaaaanderrrr... tear this ship arrrparrrt
and bring me thar passengars... Oi wants them aloive!"
Funniest thing I've ever heard! (And I live not far from Bristol.)
