I have downloaded some HD DivX features. I played them through the DVI
port of my laptop (also with a wide aspect screen.)
There are plenty of MPEG-4 codecs available for computers. If I could
just do HD video capture, I could burn an HD movie to DVD. I wish I had
more time. I think it would be fairly simple to prototype a capture
card for HD, taking the signal off the DVI (HDMI) port. I wonder how
many of them I could sell before the studio nazis busted me?
