Right, that's where I was missing it - I somehow imagined the separate
encoder app would expose the features available in the main Flash MX
app.

Exactly - I don't think they're "there" yet in terms of giving the
user feedback on exactly what compression settings are in use - maybe
it's buried somewhere in the help files I haven't bothered to read yet
;-)
