watch one DVD then wait upwards of a week to get the next one,
*really* great value, 4 maybe 5 DVDs a month compared to the BBC.

Just this week I have listened to hours of live coverage of the Ryder
Cup coverage on 5live, Top Gear, will be watching the Nuremberg Doco
on Tuesday night, Doctor Who, Film 2006, Who Do You Think You Are, the
Steven Fry documentary, Broken News, Ancient Rome, TOTP2, Women's
Football, Match of The Day, Labor party conference coverage on 5live &
TV & much watching of CBeebies by my son.

That is just the new or very recent programs I will go out of my way
to watch, many of which would not be made by other channels. I will
undoubtedly watch and listen to much more than that and with the added
bonus of not being bombarded with advertising every 5 minutes

Don't forget we all also pay for ITV, remember that advertising
revenue that ITV lives on has to come from somewhere: additional cost
on the products wee all buy which we have no choice about paying, I
get rid of my TV and I won't have to give BBC anything but I will
still be paying money to ITV.

How much new ITV programming will I watch this week? Champions League
football is the only new program I will watch all week, probably all
month and quite possibly all year such is the abysmally bad
programming ITV puts out.
