You're confussed. No one is forcing you to watch the BBC. That's your
choice. If you want to watch Channel 5, you still need a TV license,
which you mistakedly believe is a subscription for the BBC. It isn't.
Its a license to receive TV and Radio broadcasting - for whoever you
want to watch.

True, the BBC receives part of that funding.

Now if you want to have a real moan at the funding raised that the BBC
uses to broadcast on Satellite to foreign countries free of charge (eg
to the middle east for instance), then you have my support. (Since we
are all paying for another countries free TV), But thats another
argument.

Ive often seen people moaning about the BBC website and Video sales
etc. Why I dont know. If it earns revenue, whats the problem?

Anyway. Lost is on (Ch 4) and Im still happy with the Beeb...
