Oh dear, not that topic again? To top post or not to top post,. That is the
question. (Thanks Bill S).
There isn't a convention on top or bottom posting. Bottom posting gives a
continuous sequence but it is a bit of a chore to have to go down to the
bottom of an email and then work up to the start of the latest message. On
the other hand top posting lets you get directly to the latest message.
Also, if necessary, printing off page 1 always gives you the latest without
all the rest. There is, of sorts, a precedent. If you look at books on a
shelf you'd find that, left to right, pages would be 99 through 1, 99
through etc.
"Horses for courses" and "each to their own" come to mind.
