This is what I would do:
Plan A:
1. Put it into a ziploc (tm) bag, with a bag of silica gel if you have
one.
2. Put in the freezer for a while - long enough to reach thermal
equilibrium.
3. Take it out and the wax should flake off easily. I wonder, though,
if the CD itself might crack :-(
Plan B:
1. Buy a new copy :-)
