Thanks for the input. You're correct; there's no stress on the center
hole at all. The disk sits on it's edge in a slot and is lifted by it's
edge when you open the lid of the unit. I'm not using the inserts at
all. Each unit has a tray at the bottom where you can maintain a list
of the disks in the unit. I'm using the DiscGears to reduce storage space.
