A NF customer service rep told me the reason I had to wait over 2
months for a new release was because new releases went to people with
less rental activity. The person suggested I slow down my turnaround
to get the computer to send me the disc I wanted. Then NF started
throttling frequent users and then the disc finally arrived even
though it said "long wait" in my queue.
Recall that NF took over WalMart's rental service so it is probably
overwhelmed with too many customers for too few discs.
