If that statement is true (that Apple and others don't care about "padding"
the ranks of students), then they are deliberately pricing their product
higher than it should be for everyone else. If they are going to wink at the
non-student students, then it means they think anyone who *isn't* gaming the
system is just being foolish (but they are willing to take the money
anyway). The ethics cut both ways.
