Hi,
I was hoping that some of you may be able to give me some advice. I do
some swim coaching and want to give swimmers immediate feed back on
their relay change overs. I've been considering DV cameras but as my
requirements are so modest I was wondering is a cheap digital camera
may also do the trick. I've been considering some low end DV cameras
(some which I've seen described as toys) or secondhand camcorder with
 broken tape record.

 My criteria are

 1. It has got to be cheap. The cheaper the better as inevitably, on the
pool side, even with care, it will get damaged and I don't want to be
 heart broken when this happens.

 2. It has to record about 10 seconds of footage at a minimum frame rate
 of 10fps.

 3. Replay

 4. It has to have a display screen, not fussy about size.

 5. Resolution, I am assuming that anything on the market will be good
enough. If there is a problem I can adjust the shot.

This, I think, is really the only criteria, nothing else no other
functionality is required, not even colour!

Any advice on cameras, DV cameras etc will be greatly received.

 Best wishes,

 Douglas
