I want to get a DVD recorder for doing what I had done with my VCR
which is just programming TV feed from my rabbit ear antenna, mostly
football, and watching it later. I would rather get a DVD recorder that
also has a HD so that I can record on the hard drive and then 'burn"
some of that to a DVD. I do not want any sort of interface to aid me in
programming Recorder: no TIVO and no desire to have to buy TV Guide to
have to find and to plug in that Code Number for each program.
With my VCR I would easily program it by saying: turn on at 9PM and
record Channel 8, then turn off at 10 PM. It is silly to need a
"service" or a "programming code number" to need to do something so
easy and basic. Are there modern DVD recorders, yet, that allow this
basic utility? Thanks.
