Well, I have an earlier edition of the DVD and it seems fine to me. I
don't recall noticing any cuts per se.
The only film that I've got that spans two discs is 'Once Upon A Time In
America' (I think).
I'm not a fan of films spanning more than one disc though. If this
becomes the norm, then I shan't buy.
As for 'forcing' us to HD-DVD/Blu-Ray, possibly. It's certainly one way
to drive us to the new format. Perhaps the EU will complain though.
