Re: HDV editing suite for 5k?

Thanks Scubajam for your independent confirmation of my own Ulead
experiences. Despite having a dual G5 Powermac with the latest Final Cut
Studio Pro HD here, I frequently find myself using Ulead Video Studio 10
Plus for HDV work as well as HD DVD authoring. I have been extolling the
virtues of Ulead HDV performance even before Version 10 came out, since the
HDV plug-in for Version 9 handled HDV very well with proxy files and very
fast rendering.

I am not especially impressed with Final Cut Pro, nor am I impressed with
the dual processor Mac, despite owning many Macs since their inception. I
entirely agree with the premise that spending $5K to do HDV editing is a big
waste of money when it can be done swiftly and very nicely for less than
one-fifth the price.
