CDex http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/ , which comes with Lame for encoding to mp3 and other
encoders (wma, ogg, etc) or supply your own external encoder.
Be sure to turn all recording devices off in Windows, set Lame to something like 32k CBR
mono, go to [Tools]->[Record from Analog Input] set it to record unattended for specified
number of seconds, give the resulting file a name, choose encoder and hit [Record]. A
timer shows recording progress.
