Well, 12V is what I *wanted* to do to be able to cover all bases and
situations, but thanks to everyone's insights (much appreciated BTW), even
though 12V seems "possible" according to what's posted, I decided to go
120VAC, and if prospective clients don't have electric power turned on
(hopefully the minority of clients), I will seek out the next client who
does have power. 12V portability may be considered later on, and I still
will keep all your recommendations at hand, but until I learn the ropes on
my own, I want to go as simple as possible. 12V will mean more equipment,
cords, bulk, etc., so once I get going with 120VAC, I can then look into 12V
at a backup, but not as a primary system as I was originally thinking. Maybe
I was putting the cart before the horse, but then I didn't realize there
were other non-conventional 120VAC solutions that may work, even though both
systems are bulkier than what I envisioned. I did mention in one of my posts
that I may be "switching gears". Again, thanks for all the help, I plan on
taking my 2 X 250W system back to Home Depot, as I hear it might not be
bright enough, and get something a little stronger. My local HD said they
don't have a 2 x 500, but do have a 1500W unit that houses 2 sides each
with a 250 and 500, and they may be switchable, which would be great. If I
can get by with 2 X 250 I'll use that option, if I need more, I'll put the 2
500's on, if more yet all on for 1500. Hopefully they're swichable like
that, if not, I'll look for one.
