Try the discs in a different player - it sounds like the dvd player
itself is fooked.
Discs you burn yourself have a less "visible" data pattern, and older
drives / ones approaching the end of their life may have trouble reading
the data.
If you can use them in either PC normally, that'd be my first port of
call anyway...
