My 16:9 TV has various settings to accomodate different aspect ratios; with
1:85 there are thin borders on top and bottom. My DVD player has
anamorphic, standard, and letterbox settings, and it's necessary to set both
player and TV to get the aspect ratio without cropping. Check out your TV
instructions.
