I checked out his manual online and didn't see any instructions for a reset.
I would call LG customer service and discuss the problem with them at this
point. If it is simply a reset they should be able to very quickly instruct
him as to how to do it. The LG US support tele# is 800-243-0000.
Hope you get a fix for it !
