A client called today to ask if I could make some DVDs of his hunting trip
that he shot on his Hi-8 camera. I broke out my old Sony CCD V-99 this
mroning to see if it works. It does. So I can do a good client a favor. I
never did much (none) broadcast with it, but it was a very good family
camera for its time;-)

Re; the MPEG 2 audio--- as they say in more rural areas of the US, "I don't
have a dog in that fight," and no experience so far with having to process
other than 16 bit/44.1kHz audio. If I do start shooting HDV, as I'm sure I
will sooner or later, I'll worry about MPEG-2 audio on the first occasion of
a client complaining about it. Until then, I'll just keep on getting the
work done.
