Thanks to all who replied.
If you use your favorite ripper or technique to rip a cd to mp3 files.
How do you know your files are free from any defects short of listening
to them? What I am trying to do is to avoid having to listen all my
mp3 files to find the few that are defective. Is there a program that
could scan my files and report the defective ones?
I have faith in the capabilities of Exact Audio Copy but it may take
hours to extract data from a CD. For any given CD it would probably
same me time by taking a chance on a faster ripper and then listen to
all the tracks rather than wait while Exact Audio Copy does its thing.
