We have just completed the development of an exciting new free service
for consumers called ZOLVED.
ZOLVED (http://www.zolved.com) is a free web based service for
consumers and is aiming to become the world's largest resource for
technical information on the web. The service is designed to help
techno-phobic consumers get information that would help them learn, use
and enjoy technology. Today, a typical consumer is surrounded with
technology at home and in the office. It is not unusual to find one or
more computers, home network, game console, mp3 players and a couple of
PDAs in a single household. All these devices are in some way
interconnected and must work together. It is very difficult for
consumers to solve simple technical problems that they encounter in
their day-to-day life as they use all of these technical gizmos.
Much of the information that a typical consumer needs can be found on
the web but the research is time consuming since the information is
highly distributed. There are many tech-savvy consumers around the
world who are experts in certain technologies and can help but today
they are not easy to reach. There are thousands of small to mid-size
technical support retailers that offer paid support services but it is
difficult to locate the right provider for your specific needs.
ZOLVED uses the power of the web, latest web 2.0 technologies and
concepts of vertical search, wikis and social networking to bring all
of the above together in a single, easy to use service for a consumer.
I am asking for a few minutes of your time to go checkout the service
and give me your feedback. Please sign-up as a member. If you are
tech-savvy, go ahead and register as a guru. Take the service for a
test drive. Does the concept make sense to you? Would you or someone
you know use such a service? Is the service intuitive and easy to use?
