How closely did you match the exact color of green?

You have a problem in such a small room. Some people have found
it useful to light the greenscreen with fluorescent lights. Regular tubes
have a strong green spike which is an advantage in this particular case.
Those "shop lights" go for $10~20. Be sure to get the kind with
electronic ballast, not the old heavy magnetic ballast. (Because the
electronic ones don't flicker).

If you have no way of defeating the auto white-balance, you are
essentially screwed. Those inexpensive cameras were never intended
for such sophisticated applications. You could always try "luma-key"
where you use a completely dark background (black velvet, etc.)
depending on how you are going to composite your video together.
