Hi,
I just watched my friend's recently purchased Bladerunner dvd, and I
appreciate its not the super deluxe version that's to be released later,
but what does this current version claim to have going for it (apart from
being available)?
It may be that its a bit cleaner than the original dvd release, but I
don't think there's much in it, if it is.
In terms of sharpness, its quite a difficult film to assess as there's
obviously lots of smoke and gloom, as a working reference, what I've done
in the past is watch the raindrops running down Harrison Ford's face in
Rutger Hauer's death scene.
I was under the impression that this was visually of as high a quality as
would be on the deluxe release, just without any extras?
I was a bit dismayed to see the following text at the end of the film,
just after the Phillip K Dick dedication:
"This version 1991. The Bladerunner partnership - All Rights Reserved"
Does anybody have the skinny on this?
Will the deluxe version(s) be visually superior?
