I have no idea what a "DV camera" vs. a "firewire-
uncompressed video" camera device is? Perhaps if
you were to mention actual brand/model numbers we
would have a clue what you are talking about? You
aren't talking about "webcam"s or something, are you?

It seems quit possible that you are the only one here
who has tried using the CMU drivers. Your question
is more a computer/driver/interface question than a
video question. There may be computing newsgroups
where you question would be more likely to be answered.
