I hated UMD on principle that it said it was "DVD Quality" when it
clearly is not - it may give a good picture on a PSP screen but it *is
not* DVD quality, I've never seen one with extras and to add insult to
injury the disks were frequently more expensive than DVD!

I did hear a scare story (probably totally incorrectly) that Blue ray
needed to be connected to the Internet to have the disks authorized
over the web and that if you were found to be playing a copy it would
kill your player, at that you would have to keep re-paying for the
licence to play disks you have already paid for!
