I agree with that dog... If you spent 900 on the Denon I would be VERY
surprised if you noticed ANY difference in picture quality in what you
already have. (I have the Aldi one, a friend has a Denon... there IS no
difference -we both agree).
Where the cheap player might show its weakness is in longevity.. ie. it
might fall apart/start giving problems in a couple of years' time... just in
time to allow you make a more-informed decision _then_ on which format to go
to next.
(By the way... I know you said not to, but, for my money I think you'd be
MAAAAAAAAD to buy into Blu-Ray just at the moment. It costs around 3 times
the price of hd-dvd -excluding the PS3 route- and the only thing you'll be
watching on it is high-quality tumbleweeds because you'll be one of the only
people with one ...for now at least).
