I wouldn'y buy a combi, the best thing would be a HDD/DVD recorder and a
seperate cheap VCR, which after you've transfered any tapes to DVD probably
won't get much use.
I can recomend Panasonic DVD recorders as they will record and play back
almost every type of disc, I recently bought the DMR-EX75 and am very
pleased with it.
